Rebrand for The Sentence Works
I was brought in by digital agency Creative Blend to help them with one of their Clients. Content writing and training business The Sentence Works wanted to look more modern and professional in the form of a rebrand and new website.
The brief consisted of a few challenges. The logo must be flexible - that it can work in a vertical space or a horizontal space. So they would require two versions.
They also wanted a logo that had an icon which could be used to give them an identity on social media and act as an indicator for their business.
Early iterations of the logo development as shown at the bottom looked at using grammar based iconography within the wording as well as a play on words for the work being a bolt to signify a working mechanism with the grammar icon within. As we discussed the ideas with the client the logo began to take shape and the icon replacing the o in works became part of their brand identity.
Up to this point i’d only given them grey logos - I wanted to concentrate the client on the logo design before we started playing with colours. We experimented with greens, blues and greys but they were keen on purples so it was a case of finding a suitable shade that not only sat well with the brand but also the logo.
Adding extra flexibility I provided a primary and secondary logo colour.
The end result was a happy client and a smart new brand identity that they were delighted to show off.
